VOLUNTEERS vs. TRAINED AIDES
Volunteers are advised not to assist with medical devices (such as hearing aids) or perform any type of personal care (known as ADLs or Activities of Daily Living) such as bathing/grooming, dressing, toileting, feeding, or transferring between chair, bed, wheelchair, walker, vehicle. This sort of assistance requires a trained aide.
For the sake of everyone's safety, we ask our members not to request this type of assistance from volunteers, who are not qualified or trained to do that.
