Community emergencies can occur at any time. Sudden wide-spread power outages, severe weather events, infrastructure failures including the internet, public health emergencies – any one of these can disrupt community services, requiring us to be self-sufficient for days.
How should we prepare?
David Burich is a Clinical Education Specialist in Emergency Management & certified Life Safety Specialist for the Yale Health System.
